Funny Valentine

I'm not normally one for Valentine's Day. I believe in sharing the love with those you care about all year long, not just on a day sanctioned by Hallmark and the various florist and chocolate manufacturers. I had to share a little something hilarious about my husband and his St. Valentines day hi jinks though. The story starts off with with a new piece of workout equipment!

Newest Zawacki home gym find

We got this stand-up "total gym" recently from Brad's Aunt Joanne & Uncle Don, who are doing a bit of housecleaning in preparation for their move to Arizona. The gym is in pretty good condition (and an extra special thanks to Uncle Tom for it's delivery from Pittsburgh), but it also was manufactured sometime in late 70's or early 80's. No big deal for us, but it did provide several rounds of laughter when we looked through the associated "how-to" manual.

Brad just couldn't leave it at that though. So when I finally went to bed early this morning, I found this on my pillow.

My mister really does know how to keep me smiling. So this morning I followed suit, and left him some candy and a card on the toilet. :-) Not quite as clever, but the best I could do on short notice and without master Photoshop skillz.

We then spent an early dinner out today at one of our favorite places to eat in Ypsilanti, La Fuente. We started with drinks, and followed with each of our respective favorite dishes. Too bad we didn't save any room for fried ice cream.

Now it's time to hit the Michigan Hockey game for hopefully another 8 to 3 win, so Happy Valentine's Day to all my special peeps out there, and Go Blue.
