I've mentioned before that one of my favorite places to eat is La Fuente in Ypsilanti. Brad and I frequent the establishment often, so it was not unnatural that I wanted to spend my Birthday there. I also wanted to share my love of Mexican with some of my nearest and dearest, so I invited them along for the ride. They so gratiously accepted (who wouldn't where free food and drinks are concerned?)
We started off our evening at the bar, slurping our enormous dacqairi's and margarita's while waiting for a table to be available. Turns out there were a few other birthday's being celebrated on Saturday, so we had to wait just a bit without reservations for our group of seven.
Once we got seated, we had good food and good times. The food was as delish as ever, and my friends bestowed some of the best birthday love on me. Also, note to self, unless you're really careful NOT to have your mister tell the wait staff it's your birthday, they will also bestow love upon you. In the not so fantastic form of making you wear a giant token sombrero and shoving your face in a big pile of fried ice cream while they distract you with eating cherries. So watch out for that.
