I don't know about you guys, but January is a really hard month for me. After going full speed ahead for the holiday's, come January, I'm exhausted. Instead of feeling rested and recouped to bring on the new year with a smile, I'm often left feeling cold, moody, and out of wack. This year is especially hard as things at work for me are crazEE! I find myself in the routine of getting up way too early to go to work, working a long hard day, running errands after work, racing home to work out, cooking dinner, cleaning up, then falling brain-dead into bed much later than I should. As Birgit so cleverly described, my schedule seems to be a lot of lather, rinse, repeat lately.
So in order to bust these January Blues, I'm going to work the next few weeks on bringing some balance back into my life. I've got plans to set some work boundaries, to carve some time to myself to do small project that have been piling up, and most of all, I'm going to do some reading on how to bring organization back into my life. All of that is probably going to mean a little more saying "no" on my part. So to those of you dear to me, please don't be offended when I can't attend your events or am not totally my cheerful self. Just know that my sanity depends on getting back into a groove!
