Sometimes, you lose your blog writing mojo. Sometimes, you just need a break. Sometimes, you're too busy watching the world around you in your new city. These are my sometimes. Notable events over the last few weeks included:
a) a fun visit with my Bestie for her birthday in the city that never sleeps
b) the NYC marathon right outside my apartment door
c) a visit from Liz and winning tickets to
Wicked on Broadway in the box office lottery
d) snuggling these two city dwellers
e) getting Christmas crafty!
f) becoming totally engrossed with HBO's
Bored to Death and watching all two seasons in less than 2 days
g) eating some tasty soup dumplings (
Joe's Shanghai) and then finding cool drinks at a mostly secret bar (
Apotheke) in Chinatown
h) giving thanks. There really is a lot to be quite grateful for this year.

The best part about that NYC Marathon picture is that you can see the giant KFC sign. Mmmmm, double down!
