My very own Blue Ball...

Book of canning that is! Following in lovely Kristal's lead last year, and Stephanie's enthusiasm this year, I think I've decided to try my hand at canning. I'm planning to start off small at first, with a strawberry freezer jam (both pectin and pectin-free), then I'll progress my way to raspberry, cherry, and apricot preserves. Then come fall, I've got plans for canning cranberry apple compote, tomatoes and jalapenos. Brad's tacos will be so excited! I just hope I get the hang of canning fairly easily.

P.S. My canning jars are kind of mini! Only 4 oz in size. My inner child is pleased.
