Delivery!

Just popping in to say our stuff was successfully delivered. Not at the planned time of course, but it's here. As you can imagine, we're up to our ears in box mayhem. I love, love, love to organize things, but living in an apartment is quite a different experience after you've lived in your own house for seven years. The storage space is minimal, none of my tried and true organizing things work here, and you fear drilling holes and making shelf space because you have to put it all back the way you found it! We're managing just fine so far though. Here's a sneak peak at our surroundings, which I'm hoping to have controlled a bit further by the end of the weekend.

Closet mayhem before and after.

I know the after doesn't look like it made much of a difference, but I swear to you, I can actually get a hanged item out of the closet now. I had to donate two more bags of clothes to make that happen! I also emptied 1/2 of another hall closet into this one. I still need to figure out a good system for folded items on the tall shelf. Ideas?
Now, if I can just get the kitchen in order, and actually be able to see the countertops, I'll feel like a human being again. Just waiting on delivery of my order from organize.com. :-)
