Union Square Market

I took another short break from organizing today, to check out the Union Square Market. I also went because there is a Whole Foods nearby, and I needed some bulk bin items. Anyway, the green market is lovely, and better than anything I could ask for. From crazy mexican chili peppers, to ostrich eggs, to locally raised turkey! My purchases were a little more tame than ostrich, but it certainly was fun to peruse.

Just before I hit the market though, I also wanted to check out a local NYC bookstore that came highly recommended, Strand. It's safe to say I may never need another commercial bookstore ever again. This places was AWESOME. Over 18 miles of new and used books. I went in looking for A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and not only did they have it, but they searched out the "used" copy they knew had just come in for me. Score! Who says these New Yorkers are abrasive?? I've met nothing but nice so far.
Strand and my loot
Stay tuned early next week for more apartment sneak peeks and organization central. I swear, I'm making progress! I'm just waiting on an order I placed that won't come until Monday, and getting help from the Mister in hanging things like shelves, building my new kitchen cabinet, etc. Here's a teaser: we got new counter stools! Yeah for more places to sit. :-)
New stools are Odie approved
